Grands Moulins de Paris and the Rugby World Cup
GMP bakers convert their tries !
Between February and June, we organised a challenge for our artisan baker clients and GMP staff. In September, over one hundred lucky winners travelled to London for a very special adventure.
The competition began in February :
Each client had a monthly target for our two ranges: Frozen & Flours - Mixes & Improvers. Points were awarded to bakers who achieved their targets each month through to July.
The sales force also took up the challenge over the same period. It was an ideal opportunity for our salespeople to show us what they were capable of, by helping clients grow sales.
All 5,276 successful participants were entered into a prize draw supervised by a bailiff. They won home cinema packs, draught beer systems, official Rugby World Cup balls - and of course trips to London!
The three-day trips included :
Tickets to two outstanding rugby matches, France vs Italy at Twickenham and New Zealand vs Argentina at Wembley Stadium, together with other visits designed to give participants a taste of British culture - a cricket match, an evening in a pub in the City and a tour of London attractions.
The trip was a dream come true for rugby fans and a great opportunity for everyone else to get away for a change of scenery !
During the three days, our craft bakers shared their experience and a few recipe ideas. At the same time, we showed them that Grands Moulins de Paris is more than just a miller!
Our clients love our challenges. Last year's was Objective Brazil, followed this year by Objective RWC. What do you think will be next year's destination? For the moment, we're keeping you in suspense !
